Having been introduced to PVC in the late 70’s I have used the material to develop the market for sash windows ever since.
Shortly after joining Rehau the German extrusion company, I helped them develop the UK’s first PVCu box sash window extrusions in 1984 which was launched at the Alexandra Palace in 1986. Square edged and a little boxy, other extrusion companies soon developed their own suites, adding fancy ovolos details never found on original sash windows.
My drive has always been the manufacture of the most authentic sash window it is possible to make using modern materials like PVC and GRP. That’s what has won us numerous accolades over the years including twice winning the prestigious award as “fabricator of the year”.
A manufacturer at heart, my team here have pioneered energy efficient sash windows (being the first company to be awarded a BFRC certificate, indeed the first 5 certificates ever issued are our) their best products are promoted by the Energy Savings Trust, which when coupled with a real appreciation for the architecture and engineering of yesteryear, means that masterframe is driven by detail and towards making products which are “indistinguishable*” from the original sash windows, whilst at the same time meeting the security demands of the Police preferred specification, “Secured by Design”.
